Toddler EKKKK!

Whoops I missed last week sorry friend and family.  Lanie has a lot in her little life that I have not shared on here yet so to name a few.
1) A couple weeks ago our adventurous little girl was running around and smacked her mouth on the foot board of our bed.  Lanie busted open the top part of her gum.  There was lots of crying, blood, and panic from a Mommy that should have reacted calmly.  There is a calm parent and a stressed out parent and Mark seems to be taking on the role of the calm one which leave me with stressed! She is fine and the bleeding stopped with plenty of cuddles and paci/lovey.

2) Finally she has started cutting teeth....4 at one time! She is getting her top one it has busted through, the other top one is working its way out, and her two bottom are working there way out as well.  I will get a picture as soon as she will let me, but she is pretty picky about showing her new teeth. I am just glad she has some because I think baby dentures would have been a pretty penny.

3) With the teeth cutting through it has also sprung a new Lanie.  I knew she was a good baby and people were always saying that she was going to be a feisty toddler....well I think it has happened.  Most of the time people think we are crazy because tend to do better in public, but at home she is a crazy child.  There has been several full blown fits over putting a toy up, not being able to go up the stairs, taking the remote away, saying no to something that might harm her, you name it the girl gets mad.  She has actually put her self on the floor and kicked her feet isn't she a little young for that?

4) Lastly, my awesome little eater has turned into a picky toddler.  She eat cream of wheat like a champ for breakfast, and does alright at day care for lunch and snack, but dinner ohhh dinner is a different story. I think we are going on week two of trying just about anything for her to eat SOMETHING.  It usually ends with her screaming crying, lots of options not eaten at the table, and me almost of the verge of tears.  I am trying to relax, but it is hard to see your child not eat.

Overall she is still awesome, but Lanie is learning how to voice her independence and being a very head strong woman myself I have a feeling Mark is going to be laughing for many years to come watching the two of us.  My nightly prayer has been for God to give me the patience to have with Lanie during her fits and dinner because it has been a battle ground lately.  I know this is just a phase, but WOOOWEEE I hope it passes of gets better sooner than later :)
