Christmas is almost here :)

Sunday was our Church Christmas service.  They are still having a service on Christmas Day, but it will be very small and short so this Sunday was the big one. Lanie got all dressed up in a pretty dress and I tired to get a picture, but she does not sit still for very long.

Saturday was the Ramsey Family Christmas in IL and we had such a good time.  Lanie got to play with tons of cousins and see Great Grandpa Roy.  Even though the day was a success Lanie had a rough night back at home.  I think the mixture of 6 hours in a car, no real nap, and just out of her element called for a very restless night and a very tired Mommy!

Sunday was Mommy and Grandma Amy's traditional dip and drink Lanie joined us this year and played with Grandpa while we dipped everything you can imagine in chocolate and sipped on wine.  Later Lanie and I came home and she gave some much needed attention to her buddy Mike and then had a much better sleeping night.  Lanie was a happy girl and so was Mommy :)

Good Morning

I know your super jealous, but this is what Mark and I get to wake up to every morning.  There are the morning when I hear Lanie on the monitor and secretly wish she would just lay back down and sleep for another hour and I am sure I am not the first parent to have that thought/request.  Once we drag ourselves out of bed we are greeted with this adorable baby girl standing up in her crib with a HUGE smile on her face ready to start her day.
Lanie is always fun, but I love spending mornings with her.  She has so much energy and is ready to go so it is always quality play time.  I told Mark the other night that I just love watching her discover new things.  For example in this picture Lanie is learning that you can crawl through that hole, sit on the blue part, or push it and it bounces.  I think she is super smart, but I am also her Mom :)

Happy Halloween

Lanie celebrated her first Halloween which it was very exciting.  We didn't actually go trick or treating because well she has no teeth and is to young for candy!  Lanie got to dress up as you saw from the last post at Mallory and Jeff's Halloween party and then on Monday he daycare had a party.  She did lots of fun stuff while she was at daycare.  She watched the Charlie Brown Halloween Special, played games, got lots of goodies, and made a spooky ghost for Mommy and Daddy.  With it being the first party that Lanie had where she brought treats I got alittle excited and made these really cool preztel cob webs.  Not only were they yummy, but the kids loved them. I tried to made a spider cookie out of oreos, but they kept breaking so I just put the oreo in the baggie.

Since Lanie was Thing 2 and I was Thing 1 and Mark was Cat in the Hat it would have looked weird for her to wear her costume with out the rest of the family. So she put on her best Halloween get up and off to the day of fun she went. Over all it was a great day that ended with rocking my sweet little pumpkin to sleep which is the best part of my day :) Happy (late) Halloween everyone!!!!

The Cat in the Cat & his 2 pets :)

What a wild week last week...CRAZY is the only way to describe it. Work was crazy busy, I went to Indy for a Church conference while Mark held down the fort here, and then just life in general.  Last weekend we went to a Halloween party that our friends Mallory and Jeff throw. It is a family party so it was fun to see all the kids & adults dressed up. This year Lanie pretty much just was cute, but next year she will be right in there with all the other kiddos bobbing for apples and playing guess the goo game!

Sweet Dorthy with evil eyes

Two weeks ago when I was posting it was taking the pictures forever to load so I gave up and after more attempts tonight it was still being silly so I only have the patience for three.  For 3 years now the Maxheimers all pack up head out to TJ's orchard and partake in a great day we like to call Pumpkin Patch Day.  We go get out pumpkins and the best apple cider slushies and then head back to my parents house for a carving contest, yummy snack, and just fun times. This year Lanie was present out side the tummy and loved every minute of it!

The grandkids minus Benny he was eating
