First week of day care :(

Wow what a week! This week was Lanie's first time to go to daycare and for mommy to leave her and go back to work. Sunday night was the hardest thing in the world. I feed Lanie her bedtime bottle and then continued to hold her while she was sleeping sobbing the entire time. Mark came down and reassured me everything was going to be alright. Monday morning bright and early I woke Lanie up for her bottle. We had some nice quite moments and then Mark finished getting her ready. I told Mark to dress her cute because she was going to have a photo session!

Right after this photo was taken I was a mess. I love the next picture because it's like Lanie is saying ahh Mom it's gonna be just fine :)
Day 2 of day care with Ms. Julie and Ms. Andrea she loves it there already and they love her!
So if going to day care and Mommy going back to work wasn't already a huge week Lanie also had her first party! The day care she goes to had a Easter party and Lanie was the life of the party.

She is already coloring eggs and writing her name Mark and I knew we had a smart baby :)

Lanie also had her two month doctor appointment.  She is a healthy girl and doing fantastic the doctor said she is perfect.  At two months she is 11lbs 3 oz (56%) and 23 ½ inches (86%) it looks like she might be tall just like her Daddy. Lanie also had to get three shots today; it was not fun at all.  The poor little thing let out the loudest scream ever, but the nurse was great she got it done super quick and then I scooped her up for snuggles to make it all feel better. I think it was harder on me than it was Lanie.  So to recap this week was full of first….first time at daycare, first party, and first round of big shots.  This weekend is a big one too as we celebrate with family and friends the resurrection of Jesus. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter J

This is Lanie saying lets not do that shot thing for awhile o.k. Mom.

Alright so my first attempt at posting some videos.  First of all let me say sorry for the annoying talking done by me in the back ground.  I am one proud Mommy and Lanie does her big smiles when someone talks silly to her so if you want the smiles you gotta talk silly :)

Big Doings

The Wade family had an eventful weekend/week so far. I had my 6 week check up and everything looks great. So I successfully carried a baby, delivered a baby, and healed from having that big girl (although not as big as some of my friends who recently had babies kudos to Jamie :). This weekend Lanie attended her first wedding. One of Marks friends was getting married so we traveled up north for the event. She got to meet our very good friends the Corrells and before the wedding she got some much needed Grandma Sandy time up in Plainville. Before heading home I was putting my sweet baby girl in a cozy sleeper while I was still in my fancy wedding attire. As I was picking Lanie up off the changing table in the bathroom she decides to spit up, not a cute little spit up but a all down my arm in my hair dripping everywhere spit up. Of course she was all smiles after that and I was covered and of course the burp rag was out with Dad. Thankfully Kristen just happen to come in and help me mop it all up we had a good laugh and I proudly wore the badge of motherhood.

This week has been all about how much time I can spend with Lanie because I go back to work on April 18th.  I keep telling myself it is only 5 1/2 weeks until I am on summer break (yeah for being a teacher), but I think in reality it is going to be the hardest 5 1/2 weeks EVER! This week has been all about play time, walks with Mommy, and cuddles as much as possiable.  I did however go out with my moms group on Monday night from my church for a mothers night out. It was so much fun to talk and laugh with the other ladies.  When I came home at 9:30 I walked in on this adorable scene. Daddy and his little glow worm :)

Today Lanie and I are off to meet her sitters and go over her schedule. I am so lucky to have found such an amazing daycare so hopefully that will make everything a little bit easier on Mommy.
