Happy 1st Fathers Day Mark!!!!!

I could go on and on about what an amazing Daddy Mark is, but then this post would be 5,000 pages long.  If you told me when Mark and I found out we were expecting Lanie that Mark would be as hands on as he is I seriously would not have believed you.  Lanie was a little bit of a surprise, but we were ready to have her there had been talks and we were as prepared as any first time parents could be which is not really prepared at all.  Lanie so lucky to have such an amazing guy in her life and it makes the job on Mommy a lot easier.  Seriously I could go on about all the amazing things her does for her everyday, but all you have to do is look at those two together to see how much they love each other and I bet your heart would melt too :)

So to celebrate Mark today Lanie and I worked together.  She told me all the things she wanted to do for Daddy, but because she was to little she needed my help.  So we started off the morning with breakfast.  Mark likes breakfast braids and even though mommy doesn't really like peppers we added them because Lanie said its Daddy's day! Then we headed off to church where Daddy, Mommy, and Lanie all went to the nursery.  We worked while Lanie played with the other kiddos.  After church we came back and Lanie was so excited to give Daddy her gift. She had been hearing him talk about a Kindle ever since Papa Dick got one for his birthday.  Lanie thought it was a good idea to get him one because she said one of her favorite things is when Daddy reads to her.  Then we headed over to celebrate Grandpa Danny with a cookout and good old family fun.  Then to finish off the day we headed to the zoo.  It was a busy day and Lanie was pooped, but what a great way to spend the day celebrating Mark!!!!!

Many faces of Lanie

She is not crying here...this is her new favortie thing to do is scream really loud :)

I know she looks like Mark, but serioulsy this is crazy!!!

I know that very few people read this blog mostly family and friends, but you are probably thinking WOW Betsy has posted three times in one night.  Well the reason is because I didn't post last week and because I had a lot of things to share about Lanie and one post was just to long! This post is just pictures there really is no words just fun times that Bug and I are sharing its going to be really hard to go back in August.

Cereal

I am pretty sure this face says it all! So I thought Bug was ready for some rice cereal and you can see how well that went.  I know a lot of people give it through the bottle, but I thought hey why not start this summer while I have time to try and teach her how to eat from a spoon.  This has been tried two times now and ended with zero cereal consumed and a very angry Lanie.  So the cereal has been going in the bottle because well that's what makes her happy.  Do not fear though we have been practicing with just a spoon nothing on it just putting a spoon or to her a crazy object in her mouth.  This has been going pretty good so tomorrow I am going to try again with stuff actually on the spoon keep your fingers crossed :)

The Farm

I know that Evansville is not a big city, but its a lot bigger than Planville, IN where Mark grew up.  Mark grew up on a farm where his back yard was endless where my back yard had a fence around it.  When I started dating Mark and visiting the Wades they must have thought I was just silly.  I had endless questions about tractors, corn, and anything related to how a farm works.  Then to make it even better my brother in-law runs a turkey farm that also has goats, horses, and sheep!  Mark and I get up there about once a month sometimes more or less depending on our schedule in Evansville.  A couple summers ago we went to Christi's house (the one with the animals!) I think they get a big kick out of how little I know about farms. Anyhoo Steve my brother in-law let me drive some of their tractors around. To this day that is one of my favorite memories since joining the Wade family.  For my birthday that year they had taken pictures of me driving one of the tractors happy as a clam and framed it.  I love going up there to visit and even though Mark would love to live out in the country we have come to an understanding that I have to be at least 10 min away from a wal-mart or grocery store.  Which is awesome since we are looking for houses now and have found several that meet that criteria :) I love all my conveniences of living in Evansville, but its good to know that Lanie has a place to go to experience things that I didn't get to until I was 25. Not to mention all the Amish families she will get to see!!!! I have a small obsession with them when we go up to visit I point them out like its a wheres waldo game. Here is some pictures from our latest visit to the Wade farm :)

3 Months

Our little bug is 3 months old and some weeks now actually on June 18th she will be 4 months, but these are her 3 month pictures.  Lanie is on a first year package so she will get maternity shots(Mommy actually got these), newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 12 month. I love that we got this for her because it is so neat to see her grow and also some of our very best friends are her photographers so they let us get some family shots in there too which is awesome. Mark loves getting his picture taken( NOT), but Crystal and Andrew do such an awesome job and the pictures always turn out so AMAZING! I thought I would share a few of my favorites, but our actual CD had like 150 pictures on it so if you really want to see them all you will have to come on over!
So Bug is 3 almost 4 months and she is really starting to show her personality.  She loves to be sung to, played with, held, sesame street, and bright colors.  She also has become pretty good at spitting up, crying like crazy when she NEEDS to take a nap, pulling hair, Mikes ears, and Daddy's chest hair! Her all time favorite thing to do is roll over on to her tummy spit up immediately wait for Mommy or Daddy to clean it up and roll her back over and then to it all over again.  I am home for the summer with her and I had forgotten in the short 5 weeks I went back to finish out the school year just how much work this little 12 lb girl is.  I love her more than anything and every day is so exciting getting to watch her learn and grow, but some days Mommy and Lanie go round and round and we are both waiting at the door for Daddy to get home from work. My friend Crystal said it best. She said sometimes you just have to tap out and let the other one take over. Lanie and I are very lucky to have such a wonderful husband/daddy that when mommy needs to tap out he is there waiting to tap in :)

I love this picture!!!!!!
