The Cat in the Cat & his 2 pets :)

What a wild week last week...CRAZY is the only way to describe it. Work was crazy busy, I went to Indy for a Church conference while Mark held down the fort here, and then just life in general.  Last weekend we went to a Halloween party that our friends Mallory and Jeff throw. It is a family party so it was fun to see all the kids & adults dressed up. This year Lanie pretty much just was cute, but next year she will be right in there with all the other kiddos bobbing for apples and playing guess the goo game!

Sweet Dorthy with evil eyes

Two weeks ago when I was posting it was taking the pictures forever to load so I gave up and after more attempts tonight it was still being silly so I only have the patience for three.  For 3 years now the Maxheimers all pack up head out to TJ's orchard and partake in a great day we like to call Pumpkin Patch Day.  We go get out pumpkins and the best apple cider slushies and then head back to my parents house for a carving contest, yummy snack, and just fun times. This year Lanie was present out side the tummy and loved every minute of it!

Pumpkins

This weekend was a pumpkin weekend!  On Saturday we went to Huber Family Farms/ Winery with the Dierlams and Pfeifers.  We had a full van load full of Wades and Dierlams and then meet every one else there.  With 3 kids (3 months , 7 months, & 2 years) I would have to say the drive went pretty smoothly. We started off with the kids activites lots of wagon rides & fun animals to pet and then we ventured over to the winery for some great music and lunch.  It was a little commical when we went to the wine tasting with strollers and lots of kiddos.  As we were all walking up the stairs with little ones  Jeff said sorry for going slow to this group of young gals.  They said no problem and then quitely said "really cute kids, but who bring kids to a wine tasting" what they didn't know was half of the party was behind them I got a good laugh and thought well these super fun parents do!

Lanie first Fall Festival

There is a magical time in Evansville, IN that is always the first full week of October.  During this time just simply imagine anything that you could fry and guess what....I bet you the fall festival has it! Last year Lanie was in Mommy's tummy and got to enjoy all the yummy food.  This year since she still has yet to cut a tooth Lanie got just one small taste of Grandpa Danny's cobbler and ice cream, but she got to do all the people watching her little heart could take.  On saturday Lanie along with her friends Norah, Will, and Landon plus dogs Lucy, Mike, and Buffy all enjoyed the pet parade.  We were a family farm and even though our group was not the biggest and best we sure were the cutest (or atleast we thought so!).  Lanie and Mike were sheep and I thought it would be a good idea Friday night to check to see if Lanie's outfit I had bought her was still going to work.  Well I am glad I did because it was to short and Lanie hated it.  So I was off to wal-mart to return with cotton balls and black felt.  I spent the night hot glue gunning cotton balls to a white onesie and making ears for my little lamb.  Lanie loved the costume so much she felt the urge during the parade to pick the cotton balls off and try to eat them.  We had such a fun time and can't wait till next year our group has decided maybe we need to get on it a little sooner after seeing some of our competition!
