Croupy Lanie :(

So last week as a little crazy to say the least on so many levels.  On Thursday when Mark got Lanie up for her morning bottle she has a horriable sounding cough.  I brought her to day care because there was no fever, but I said I would call to see how she was doing.  When I called they said she was not doing so hot so I got a doctors apt and when and got the bug.  As soon as we got into the doctor she heard it right away and said she had Croup.  So poor bug had to get a steroid shot to help with the swelling and then spent Friday with Mommy at home doing lots of cuddling, sleeping, and getting better.  She had a rough night Sunday night with lots of waking up and crying, but she is on the mend and acting more like her self each day.  Sorry no pictures this post, but plenty will be in the next one I promise!

Lanie is 11 months and in a few short weeks she will be 1 years old!!!!! This time last year I was think serioulsy this child has got to come out soon there is no more room in there,  but she has different plans the little stinker wanted to make an entrance ;)

Walking Lanie

So Lanie has started to walk.  The adventure has begun! To tell you the truth her walking is a lot easier to keep up with right now than her crawling.  She is so speedy when it come to the all fours, but is still getting the hang of walking so it is slow and steady.  She loves to practice though and is really good up to about ten steps and then usually down she goes.  Don't mind Mike in this video we think he might be finally realizing that Lanie is here to stay.....he loves her but, I think he is missing his attention he used to get.

Since I lost all the pictures from Christmas Eve over at my parents house I posted a short video. There isn't much action here, but all the other segments were like 32 min long...didn't think any one would want to watch that besides Mark and I :)

Happy New Year

We had our third New Year with Mal & Jeff and once again it was great.  This year Katie & Chad were in town for Mark's big 30th birthday celebration so they got to come over and hang out too.  We started the party off with a what the heck are you wearing theme.  I think we got all four kids down by 8:30 and then the adults played games until we rang in the new year.  New Years day our little family spent the day relaxing, playing, and getting ready to go back to work (boooooooooo!)  Mommy went back to  work today while Lanie and Daddy still had one more day off and the took an adventure to the Zoo sorry no pictures it was Mark by himself and I am usually the picture taker.

This is some of Marks birthday celebration at Turonis.  Lanie was spending some time with Grandma and Grandpa Maxheimer :)

I didn't get that many, but here is a couple of pictures from New Years Eve.....2011 was an epic year as my friend Katie would say. Can't wait to see what 2012 will bring for the Wades :)

Sweet Norah

Katie said, "Mark smile and act like your my husband and this is our baby" I was laughing so hard!

Will did have a Santa Suit on I think he wins for sure.

Happy New Years Bug !!!!!

CMOE

So since Mommy and Daddy were off we did tons of family fun stuff.  One thing I have been wanting to do is take Lanie to the childrens museum.  I know she is a little young, but when its cold and your 10 month old has to be told NO every 10 seconds because she is touching something she shouldn't a place that is meant to be touched like crazy by little hands sounded like a FANTASTIC idea and it was! We had such a good time and for sure will be going back through out this winter when we need to get out of the house.

Weigh Station

She might have thought these were real
Look who we found at CMOE...Lanie's best friend Norah

LOVED this nose she could have spent all day just crawling in and out of it
Still no teeth
Lanie can make a mess and its okay!!!

Daddy turned 30!!!!!

If Lanie could talk on her Daddy's birthday she would have so WOW! We had a great day of playing as a family Mark took off work the whole week after Christmas and I was off because that is a major bonus of being a teacher.  We played the morning away, and then Lanie went to daycare for a couple hours so Mommy and Daddy could go on a movie date (Sherlock Holmes:Game of Shadows) and then we picked out girl up for more fun.  That night we got all cleaned up and went to Daddy's birthday resturant The Cork N' Clever where he has what he calls the best steak ever.

Two loves of my life :)

She really likes her new walking toy and didn't want to leave it

Wade Christmas

So after our little family had Christmas and naps and bags were packed we headed up to Mark's sisters house to celebrate with some more family. Of course I forgot my camera at Marks parents house. He took some pictures on his phone so it might be July, but I will post them at some point.  I did however have the camera ready to go Monday for Marks family Christmas.  We had a great time eating lunch, opening gifts, Lanie got to know her cousins some more, and then later that  night we celebrated Marks 30th birthday!!!!!!

Mark says this is how you drive on the farm(don't worry we were just driving up a lane)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!!

Lanie's First Christmas

So Christmas has come and gone, but I am going to post about Lanie's first Christmas. The whole month of December was full of first for Lanie.  The first time she saw a christmas tree, presents, learning about baby Jesus, christmas lights, cookies, and lots of fun family get togethers and parties.  The first christmas Lanie had was at my Mom and Dad's on Christmas Eve.  We got home late that  night and after she was fast asleep I was looking through the pictures from her daycare christmas party and christmas eve and some how pressed the delete all button.  I had a small sad moment and then moved on.  Mark did video tape christmas at my parents so I can post that later, but sorry no pictures.  So then the next morning was Christmas for the little Wade family of 3.
Santa came to the Wade house

I feel like she is saying " Mom & Dad this is so cool!"
Ready to start the fun!

She loves her daddy

Christmas morning nap with mommy :)

It was so great seeing Lanie be so excited and playing with her new toys, but we started our christmas off right with reading the Christmas Story and letting Lanie know that is was Jesus birthday.  (oh and of course Monkey Bread--a Wade family tradition:)
