Family fun at the Zoo :)

I love zoo's! Mark and I have visited many together before we had Lanie. I just love watching animals I think they are so interesting.  Once summer and the warm weather hit Evansville I noticed my friends with kids asking me if I wanted to go to the Zoo so after paying the $7.50 admission two times Mark and I decided we would just get a couples membership since Lanie is free until she is two and save a little money.  I have lived in Evansville most of my life and I have gone to the zoo more times in the past two months than all the years that I have lived there.  It is fantastic because it gets us out of the house in the morning which makes Lanie Bug very sleepy for her afternoon nap and the added bonus is there are TONS of hills which makes for an amazing cardio workout :)  Saturday Mark's sister Gena our brother in-law Ty and our niece and nephew Kasey and Rex came to visit.  We spent about three hours at the Zoo because there was tons of activities for family fun day plus it was Donna the Hippos 60th birthday(wow that's old for a hippo). 



Almost made it through the whole zoo fell asleep at the very end!

After a fun filled day at the Zoo Gena and Ty went to a wedding and we watched the kiddos.  I love getting to spend time with them because they don't live in Evansville.  Lanie took a nap when we got back and the four of us played outside in the back yard.  It was such a fun saturday and Lanie loves getting to spend time with her cousins.  We could have done without Rex falling off our bed when he was sleeping poor little guy, but he was alright I promise :)
