Monday was the 4th of July. I love the 4th of July because its just a great time to spend with friends and family. As much as I love Christmas, Thanksgiving, and other holidays they always seem rushed and busy. The 4th just seems to be more relaxed maybe because its in the summer who knows! Every year we have a small lunch cook out at my parents and then venture up to Reitz Hill for the Dierlams (Jeff's) parents party. There is tons of food, fun, washers tournament, corn hole, and an amazing show of fire works put on by David a westsider. His show beats the downtown show every year hands down. Lanie was a trooper with very little naps and even stayed up for the fireworks show that didn't start until 9:00 :O Tuesday was a different story Lanie was not her normal happy self and I think she was letting Mom and Dad know that keeping her out so late should not be a habit to start. I am happy to report as I am updating her blog that sweet girl is napping downstairs in her crib fingers crossed that this is a more normal day.
