Lanie first Fall Festival

There is a magical time in Evansville, IN that is always the first full week of October.  During this time just simply imagine anything that you could fry and guess what....I bet you the fall festival has it! Last year Lanie was in Mommy's tummy and got to enjoy all the yummy food.  This year since she still has yet to cut a tooth Lanie got just one small taste of Grandpa Danny's cobbler and ice cream, but she got to do all the people watching her little heart could take.  On saturday Lanie along with her friends Norah, Will, and Landon plus dogs Lucy, Mike, and Buffy all enjoyed the pet parade.  We were a family farm and even though our group was not the biggest and best we sure were the cutest (or atleast we thought so!).  Lanie and Mike were sheep and I thought it would be a good idea Friday night to check to see if Lanie's outfit I had bought her was still going to work.  Well I am glad I did because it was to short and Lanie hated it.  So I was off to wal-mart to return with cotton balls and black felt.  I spent the night hot glue gunning cotton balls to a white onesie and making ears for my little lamb.  Lanie loved the costume so much she felt the urge during the parade to pick the cotton balls off and try to eat them.  We had such a fun time and can't wait till next year our group has decided maybe we need to get on it a little sooner after seeing some of our competition!

So you might have noticed that I did not post last week.  Well it has been a busy several days and Lanie's newest cousin decided to join the party.  Benny Lee Maxheimer is here and we are so excited to welcome him into this crazy world.  To help Melissa and my brother out because they have 4 other kids Mark and I had a special weekend with Addy our niece.  Addy got a jam packed weekend full of football games, playing with her cousin, and special attention from Uncle Mark and Aunt Betsy.  Lanie also had some special vistors come down on Sunday ...Grandma and Grandpa Wade!!!

Hanging with the big kids.

A couple weekends ago we went up to Mark's family for a visit.  Gena and Ty had finished building there house and it was move in day. Hopefully whenever we sell our house everyone will join in the fun down here for our move in day(who knows when that will be).  Nicole and Gage are Lanie's oldest cousins and they were super excited to feed her.  Lanie had a good time and loved all of the attention from her cousins.

While the gals were unpacking boxes, organizing, and cleaning the men had a few task and one was to mount the T.V. in the living room. This picture cracks me up because it's like the visual to one of the how many men does it take to put up a t.v. joke.
We had such a great visit I love going up there to see my other side of the family and so does Lanie she gets loads of attention sometimes I wonder is it really possible for her to, but she does!
Sorry Christi it was to cute not to post!

Last weekend Gena and Ty came down to Evansville to celebrate their anniversary and do some shopping for the new house. I forced my sister in-law to pick color for her house with curtains, decorations, and pillows. I think it will look amazing :) While we were out I got a couple things for Lanie's room that I have been wanting to get.  Bought her some super cute blackout curtains to help her sleep during naps she likes it dark and some cute frames to hang some of her pictures. Side note:I used command photo strips because Mark does not want nails in the wall and they worked really good!

Lanie is getting so big and I love to watch her discover new things every day. It is cool to see how her little world is expanding.  We love this little bug so much and are blessed to be her parents :)

WOW!!!!!!!!!

Lanie is a funny little gal she makes Mark and I laugh all the time.  Her new favorite thing to crack us up is saying wow.  Pretty much every time I change Lanie's diaper I always say wow you got stinky poo or wow that's a full diaper. One day out of the blue Lanie started saying wow and now its her new favorite thing in the world.  Usually we have to get her started so in the video she is looking at Mark while he is saying it.  The funniest part is she always whispers the first couple like she is warming up for the big show.
Lanie has also been hearing the word NO! a lot lately.  She likes to play with her toys for about five minutes and then crawl over to the PlayStation, picture frames, decorations, pretty much anything she is not supposed to touch.  I have a feeling she understands but, thinks its funny to watch Mom and Dad say NO LANIE over and over again!

6 month pictures

This Sunday Lanie Bug will be 7 months old holy crap how did that happen! Lanie's personality is really starting to shine these days.  Most of the time she is the happiest little gal ever, but if you tell her not to touch the playstation or take away something she has found that is not a toy she lets you know she is not very happy about it.

Lanie is still toothless.  She shows signs of teething with the chewing on everything and tons of drool, but nothing yet. She might need to take lessons from her friend Libby on how to eat with just her gums (Libby didn't get teeth till she was like 13 months or something like that).

A couple weeks ago our friends and photographers The Robersons took Lanie's 6 month pictures and they are amazing.  I love their work and they love Lanie so it makes it even more special.  Here are several of my favorites!!

This is photoshop magic..don't be nervous Andrew was holding her to be safe!

I feel like she is saying "get over here and give me a hug!"

Instant Friend :)

This past weekend was Labor Day and Lanie went on her second camping trip, but I forgot the camera.  She had such a fun time even though the first day was crazy hot.  Grandma & Grandpa Maxheimer and Mommy went to the pool while Daddy stayed with Mike and read is kindle.  Lanie is really loving the pool. It's sad that right when she is getting into everything is closing.  It was a litle difficult to practice her crawling because that is all she wants to do these days, but she seemed to figure it out.  This week has been jam packed with parties, our first church life group, church meetings, and about a million other things thrown in there, but of course bug just goes with the flow and takes it all in with Mommy and Daddy.

We were getting ready to leave on Wednesday and Lanie was in the bathroom with us and she discovered the mirror.  It was so funny watching her look in the mirror like she had just made a new friend.  She kept looking at Mark and I like how the heck did this other baby get here?!

This little cold snap that we are having at the start of September Lanie is loving.  She likes to be outside and enjoys the wonderful weather.  Lanie is growing like crazy though and with the new weather it looks like Mommy and Lanie will need to do some fall shopping :)

Love love love this girl!!!
